Description

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse thiomorpholine-carboxylate dehydrogenase (Crym), also known as NADP-regulated thyroid-hormone-binding protein or ketimine reductase mu-crystallin. The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows reactivity with mouse samples.

The kit delivers a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 6.4% CV and inter-assay precision at 9.0% CV. Linearity has been validated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum (101-126%), EDTA plasma (88-115%), and heparin plasma (84-118%). Recovery testing yielded an average of 81% (range 80-87%) for serum and 83% (range 80-89%) for plasma.

Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate solution, stop solution, and plate sealers, with specified storage temperatures detailed in the kit insert. CRYM is a cytoplasmic homodimer (UniProt O54983, NCBI Gene ID 12971) with a molecular weight of 33,523 Da. It specifically catalyzes the reduction of imine bonds in substrates such as cystathionine ketimine and lanthionine ketimine, binds thyroid hormone as a reversible inhibitor, and is presumably involved in regulating the free intracellular concentration of triiodothyronine and its access to nuclear receptors.
