Mouse TGF-beta 1 ELISA Kit

As a sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, this kit is designed to quantify transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-beta 1) in mouse-derived samples. It is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Detection is colorimetric and the format is solid phase.

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reported recovery values are 85–104% (average 92%) for serum, 92–102% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 87–101% (average 92%) for heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85–104%, 90–100% and 86–90% for serum; 85–98%, 83–101% and 80–97% for EDTA plasma; and 92–105%, 85–97% and 80–92% for heparin plasma. The assay uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

TGF-beta 1 is a key signalling molecule that regulates cell growth, differentiation and development, and is implicated in immune response, wound healing and tissue regeneration. Altered levels are associated with diseases such as cancer, fibrosis and inflammatory disorders, and the kit is intended for research use to support study of this molecule in mouse models.
