Quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie that measures mouse thyroglobulin concentrations in laboratory research specimens. Thyroglobulin (TG) is the large iodinated glycoprotein synthesized by thyroid follicular cells that acts as the scaffold for thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) synthesis, making it a relevant biomarker in murine models of autoimmune thyroiditis, iodine deficiency, and thyroid tumor biology. Investigators working with mouse strains such as NOD, MRL/lpr, or thyroid-specific knockout lines employ TG quantification to track follicular cell destruction, gland regeneration, or disease progression over time. Each kit includes a pre-coated microwell strip plate, lyophilized recombinant TG standards, a biotinylated polyclonal detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP working solution, concentrated wash buffer, TMB chromogenic substrate, and an acidic stop reagent. Reconstituted standards and diluted specimens are processed across standard incubation and wash cycles on the benchtop; absorbance is read on a standard microplate reader.
