Quantitative measurement of mouse TAR DNA-binding protein 43 in research samples is enabled by this immunoassay from Assay Genie. TDP-43 is a highly conserved RNA/DNA-binding protein encoded by the TARDBP gene and plays central roles in RNA processing, transcript splicing, mRNA stability, and stress granule formation. Aberrant TDP-43 aggregation, hyperphosphorylation, and nuclear-to-cytoplasmic mislocalization are pathological hallmarks of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal lobar degeneration with TDP-43 inclusions (FTLD-TDP), making quantitative monitoring of TDP-43 levels essential for preclinical neuroscience research using mouse models of neurodegeneration.
The kit is supplied in a 96 assays format and is intended for research use only. It detects endogenous TDP-43 in mouse-derived samples, supporting studies of disease mechanisms, biomarker validation, and evaluation of candidate therapeutics in ALS and FTD research. Researchers working with transgenic or knockout mouse lines can use this assay to track protein abundance across disease progression, tissue types, and experimental treatment groups.
For research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
