Mouse T4 ELISA Kit

This competitive ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of T4 (thyroxine, also referred to as Free Thyroxine / fT4) in mouse samples. The assay uses an antigen-coated plate format with a biotin-labeled antibody, detection via HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, and a colorimetric read-out measured at 450 nm.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 0.938 pg/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma (EDTA and heparin), cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, reported linearity is 86–102% for serum, 82–91% for EDTA plasma, and 80–96% for heparin plasma, with corresponding average recoveries of 100%, 94% and 92% respectively.

The procedure uses a minimum 1:2 sample dilution, with sample and biotin-antibody coincubated at 37 °C for 45 minutes, five washes, and TMB development for 10–20 minutes in the dark at 37 °C. Components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, lyophilized biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (100×), TMB substrate, wash buffer (25×), sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, plate sealer and a technical manual. Reagents are stored sealed at 2–8 °C; cryopreservation is not recommended.
