Mouse T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD86 (Cd86) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse T-lymphocyte activation antigen CD86 (Cd86) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay has a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/ml and a sensitivity of 15.6pg/mL, and is reactive with mouse samples. It recognises natural and recombinant mouse CD86, also referred to as Activation B7-2 antigen, Early T-cell costimulatory molecule 1, and ETC-1.

Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with ranges of 104-117%, 90-100%, 93-103% and 106-115% for serum; 87-98%, 104-113%, 110-119% and 91-100% for EDTA plasma; and 110-118%, 89-99%, 85-98% and 104-114% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) in serum and 90% (range 84-96%) in plasma.

CD86 is a receptor involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-lymphocyte proliferation and interleukin-2 production, by binding CD28 or CTLA-4, and may play a critical role in the early events of T-cell activation. The protein is a homodimer located at the cell membrane as a single-pass type I membrane protein, with a reported molecular weight of 33,962 Da (UniProt P42082). For research use only.
