Mouse T-cell surface glycoprotein CD8 alpha chain (Cd8a) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse T-cell surface glycoprotein CD8 alpha chain (CD8a) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reactivity is specific to mouse, with detection across a range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.401ng/mL.

The assay detects both natural and recombinant mouse CD8a (UniProt P01731), a single-pass type I membrane protein with a reported molecular weight of 32-36kDa. CD8a functions as a coreceptor for MHC class I molecules, identifying cytotoxic and suppressor T-cells that interact with MHC class I bearing targets and contributing to T-cell mediated killing.
