Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of the mouse T-cell surface glycoprotein CD3 epsilon chain (Cd3e), also known by the synonym T-cell surface antigen T3/Leu-4 epsilon chain. The assay is intended for research use only and supports work in cancer research and immunology, as the CD3 complex mediates signal transduction leading to T-cell activation and proliferation, and is required for normal immune responses.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse Cd3e. The detection range is 1.56-100 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.88 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 5.4% and inter-assay CV is 10.2%. Linearity, expressed as percent recovery across dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, is 102-112%, 81-91%, 110-120% and 111-120% for serum; 94-104%, 99-110%, 93-102% and 105-115% for EDTA plasma; and 106-118%, 84-93%, 83-92% and 88-96% for heparin plasma. Mean serum recovery is 103% (range 97-109%) and plasma recovery averages 105% (range 99-111%). The target protein is a single-pass type I membrane protein located on the cell membrane, identified by UniProt accession P22646.
