Mouse T-cell surface antigen CD2 (Cd2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse T-cell surface antigen CD2 (Cd2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The colorimetric assay is reactive with mouse samples and shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse CD2. The reported detection range is 15.6-1000pg/mL and the sensitivity is 7.84pg/mL. The kit is supplied on a solid phase for research use only, with components including a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate and stop solution, and is shipped at +4°C, with most reagents stored at -20°C and the substrate at 4°C.

CD2 is a single-pass type I membrane protein (UniProt P08920) found on the surface of T cells, where it interacts with lymphocyte function-associated antigen (LFA-3) and CD48/BCM1 to mediate adhesion between T-cells and other cell types, and is implicated in triggering T-cell activation. The protein has been investigated in relation to autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders and cancer, making it a useful biomarker for immune-related research. Known synonyms include LFA-2, LFA-3 receptor, Lymphocyte antigen 37, T-cell surface antigen T11/Leu-5, Ly-37 and CD2.
