Mouse T-cell differentiation antigen CD6 (Cd6) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse T-cell differentiation antigen CD6 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses colorimetric detection and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse CD6, with a quoted detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.6pg/mL.

The kit targets the CD6 protein (UniProt Q61003), described as a single-pass type I membrane cell adhesion molecule expressed on thymocytes, peripheral T cells, a subset of B cells, and a subset of neurons. CD6 mediates the binding of developing thymocytes to thymic epithelial cells and regulates T-cell responses through interaction with ALCAM/CD166. It functions as a costimulatory molecule that promotes T-cell activation and proliferation, contributes to formation and maturation of the immunological synapse, and acts as a calcium-dependent pattern receptor that binds and aggregates both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from Gram-negative species and lipoteichoic acid from Gram-positive species.

The assay is read by absorbance measurement at 450 nm using a microplate reader.
