Mouse Surfactant Associated Protein C (SPC) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's mouse SPC ELISA kit quantifies Surfactant Associated Protein C across pulmonary and circulatory specimen types using a sandwich-based two-antibody capture format. Performance is characterised by a detection range 0.625 to 40 ng/mL and a sensitivity 0.216 ng/mL, enabling measurement of native SFTPC (alternatively annotated SP-C, SP5, SFTP2, PSP-C, and pulmonary surfactant-associated proteolipid SPL(Val)) in mouse serum or EDTA/heparin plasma specimens, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, lung lavage fluid, and cell culture supernatants.

Each well receives a 100 µl sample aliquot, and absorbance is captured on a standard microplate reader. The pack contains reagents for 96 assays, carries a 12-month shelf life, and reports intra-assay precision CV <10% together with inter-assay CV <12%. Spike-and-recovery has been validated in serum (80-102%), EDTA plasma (81-99%), and heparin plasma (80-89%), with linearity preserved through serial dilutions. For research use only, the kit supports investigation of alveolar type II cell differentiation, neonatal and adult lung injury models, environmental and pharmacological challenge of the distal lung epithelium, and respiratory disease contexts such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and acute respiratory distress syndrome where SPC dysregulation is implicated.
