Mouse Suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (Socs3) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed to quantitatively measure Suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (Socs3) in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse Socs3 with a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.6 pg/mL.

Socs3 is a member of the SOCS family of proteins that form part of a classical negative feedback system regulating cytokine signal transduction. Socs3 is involved in the negative regulation of cytokines that signal through the JAK/STAT pathway, inhibiting signal transduction by binding to tyrosine kinase receptors including gp130, LIF, erythropoietin, insulin, IL12, GCSF and leptin receptors. Binding to JAK2 inhibits its kinase activity. The protein also suppresses fetal liver erythropoiesis, regulates onset and maintenance of allergic responses mediated by T-helper type 2 cells, and regulates IL-6 signaling in vivo.
