Quantitative measurement of succinate dehydrogenase complex flavoprotein subunit A (SDHA) in mouse samples is enabled by this Assay Genie ELISA kit, supporting research into mitochondrial Complex II biology and related disease models. SDHA is the catalytic core of succinate dehydrogenase, the enzyme that links the TCA cycle to oxidative phosphorylation by oxidizing succinate to fumarate and feeding electrons into the ubiquinone pool via Complex II. Researchers studying paraganglioma-pheochromocytoma syndromes, TCA cycle flux, hypoxia signaling, and metabolic reprogramming in tumor or neurodegeneration models commonly use SDHA as a mitochondrial marker and activity readout.

The kit accommodates tissue homogenates and other sample types prepared from mouse specimens, allowing protein-level quantification in parallel with enzymatic or transcript-based assays. Detection is based on a colorimetric readout compatible with standard microplate readers, and the kit is supplied as a complete set of pre-coated plates, standards, and reagents sufficient for 96 individual determinations in a single-use format intended for research use only. Each run should include a standard curve generated from the supplied calibrators, with samples diluted as required to fall within the working range of the assay.

Succinate dehydrogenase dysfunction is implicated in Leigh syndrome, hereditary paraganglioma, and several solid tumor types driven by succinate accumulation, so consistent protein quantification across experimental conditions is a frequent requirement. Reagents should be stored refrigerated between uses and protected from light where indicated, with components remaining stable through the stated expiration when handled according to the enclosed protocol.
