Mouse Steroid 21-hydroxylase (Cyp21) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Steroid 21-hydroxylase (CYP21), an enzyme that specifically catalyzes the 21-hydroxylation of steroids and is required for the adrenal synthesis of mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids. Dysregulation of CYP21 has been linked to congenital adrenal hyperplasia, making it a useful biomarker for research into steroid metabolism. The assay is reactive with mouse and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity confirmed for natural and recombinant mouse Steroid 21-hydroxylase.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.09 ng/mL. Precision values are an intra-assay CV of 6.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (110–120% down to 89–100%), EDTA plasma (108–116% down to 84–96%) and heparin plasma (103–113% down to 85–93%). Recovery averages 102% in serum (range 96–108%) and 104% in plasma (range 98–110%).
