Mouse Stereocilin (Strc) ELISA Kit

According to the manufacturer, Stereocilin is a protein essential to the formation of horizontal top connectors between outer hair cell stereocilia, and mutations in the STRC gene have been linked to hearing loss and balance disorders, making it an essential biomarker for studying these conditions.

The assay reports a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Precision is reported at an intra-assay CV of 6.2% and inter-assay CV of 8.6%. The kit is specific to natural and recombinant mouse Stereocilin, with UniProt reference Q8VIM6.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Spiked recovery for serum is reported at an average of 83% (range 80-89%) and for plasma at 85% (range 80-91%). The kit is intended for research use only.
