Mouse Stathmin (Stmn1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of stathmin (STMN1) in mouse-derived samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and the assay is calibrated for the research area of neurosciences. The kit is intended for research use only.

Stathmin is described as a key regulator of microtubule dynamics, with the protein preventing assembly and promoting disassembly of microtubules and playing roles in cell proliferation, migration, and signalling pathways. It has been implicated in conditions such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and inflammatory disorders. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse stathmin and reports the following performance characteristics: a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity testing across serial dilutions yielded recovery ranges of 90–114% for serum, 95–117% for EDTA plasma, and 92–113% for heparin plasma, while spike-and-recovery averaged 99% (range 93–105%) for serum and 101% (range 95–107%) for plasma.

Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. The kit includes a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample diluent, assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution, with component-specific storage conditions detailed in the product insert.
