Assay Genie's Mouse STAT1 ELISA kit targets Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 1, an intracellular transcription factor activated by type I, type II, and type III interferons. Upon cytokine stimulation, STAT1 becomes phosphorylated at tyrosine 701, forms homo- or heterodimers with STAT2, and translocates to the nucleus to drive transcription of interferon-stimulated genes that mediate antiviral responses, growth arrest, and immune cell activation.

Researchers apply this ELISA to quantify STAT1 protein levels in murine samples such as serum samples and plasma samples, as well as cell culture supernatant and tissue lysate, supporting investigations of innate immunity, viral pathogenesis, tumor immunology, and STAT1-related primary immunodeficiencies. The Assay Genie kit ships complete with a pre-coated microplate, recombinant protein standards, wash buffer, and colorimetric substrate, formatted for 96 individual determinations, and is intended for research use only.

The workflow follows standard immunoassay practice: standards and samples are loaded into antibody-coated wells of the microplate, the target is captured on the plate surface, a labeled detection antibody binds the bound STAT1, an enzymatic step generates a colored product, and absorbance is read on a standard plate reader. Signal intensity scales with STAT1 concentration in the well, and concentrations are interpolated from the standard curve. Recommended sample volumes are in the microliter range, typically tens of microliters per well.
