Mouse Stanniocalcin-2 (Stc2) ELISA Kit

STC2 is a secreted disulfide-linked homodimer that exerts an anti-hypocalcemic action on calcium and phosphate homeostasis and is classified under the cardiovascular research area; dysregulation of STC2 has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and inflammatory disorders.

The assay shows a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 6.2% and inter-assay CV at 8.6%. Linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum (86-95%, 110-120%, 110-122%, 108-118%), EDTA plasma (106-114%, 109-118%, 110-122%, 105-115%) and heparin plasma (80-90%, 81-90%, 108-118%, 88-100%). Recovery averages 83% (range 80-89%) for serum and 85% (range 80-91%) for plasma. The kit recognises natural and recombinant mouse STC2 and is intended for research use only.

STC2 (UniProt O88452, NCBI Gene ID 20856) has a reported molecular weight of 32,602 Da and is expressed in muscle, heart, pancreas, kidney, spleen, prostate, small intestine, colon and peripheral blood leucocytes. The supplied protocol describes sequential incubations with detection reagents, wash steps, substrate development and a stop reaction, with absorbance read-out at 450 nm.
