This colorimetric mouse ELISA kit from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of the SRP subunit, the 9 kDa protein component of the Signal Recognition Particle Alu domain, across mouse-derived liquid specimens. Working in partnership with SRP14, this 9 kDa protein binds the Alu portion of SRP RNA and contributes to translation elongation arrest during co-translational targeting of nascent secretory and membrane proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum.

Run on a 96-assay plate layout, the assay returns an absorbance readout proportional to target protein concentration and is configured for use with mouse serum fractions, mouse plasma fractions, and related liquid samples. The workflow supports studies of secretory pathway function, regulation of protein translocation into the ER lumen, and the cellular consequences of altered SRP composition in murine disease models, knockout lines, or pharmacological interventions that perturb translation control.

Each package contains reagents sufficient to complete 96 individual determinations, making the kit practical for both small-cohort validation experiments and larger screens where multiple treatment groups or time points are being compared in parallel. Researchers investigating translation elongation, membrane and secreted protein biogenesis, or unfolded protein response dynamics can incorporate the assay into tissue and serum profiling pipelines to characterize expression baselines or track perturbation-driven changes. Reagents should be stored refrigerated upon receipt and, where applicable, aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles so that reconstituted components retain activity through the working shelf life of the kit.
