Mouse Squalene synthase (Fdft1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of squalene synthase in mouse samples. The target is encoded by the FDFT1 gene and the assay is reactive with mouse. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse squalene synthase.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL. Detection is colorimetric, with optical density read at 450 nm. The kit is intended for research use only, with a research area focus in cardiovascular studies.

FDFT1 is described as a critical branch-point enzyme of isoprenoid biosynthesis that is thought to regulate the flux of isoprene intermediates through the sterol pathway. The encoded protein is a multi-pass membrane protein localised to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane (UniProt P53798).
