Mouse Spondin-2 (Spon2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Spondin-2 (Spon2), also known by the synonym Mindin. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, detecting both natural and recombinant mouse Spondin-2.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.79pg/mL. The kit is positioned within the immunology research area, reflecting the protein's known role as a cell adhesion molecule that promotes adhesion and outgrowth of hippocampal embryonic neurons, that functions as an opsonin for macrophage phagocytosis of bacteria, that binds bacterial lipopolysaccharide, and that acts as a pattern-recognition molecule in the extracellular matrix essential for initiating the innate immune response. The target protein is secreted, localises to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix, and exists as a monomer that interacts with integrin.
