Mouse sPLA2 (Screted Phospholipase A2) ELISA Kit (MOES01459)

Built around a quantitative immunoassay workflow, this Assay Genie kit measures mouse secreted phospholipase A2 (sPLA2) levels in research samples. Secreted phospholipases A2 are low molecular weight enzymes (~14 kDa) that hydrolyze the sn-2 acyl bond of glycerophospholipids, releasing arachidonic acid and lysophospholipids that act as precursors for prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and related lipid mediators involved in inflammation and lipid signaling.

The microplate is pre-coated with capture antibody specific to mouse sPLA2. Samples and recombinant standards are added to wells, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP conjugate. TMB substrate produces a measurable color change after stop solution is added, and absorbance readings are interpolated against the standard curve. Each kit is supplied as a complete pack of reagents sufficient for one full plate of determinations, presented in a single-use format with sealed vials, and includes a detailed protocol for in vitro sample processing.
