Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Sphingosine-1-Phosphate Receptor 1 (S1PR1), this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is suited to a range of research applications. It is reactive with mouse samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse S1PR1, with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.19ng/mL.

Performance characteristics include an intra-assay CV of 8.3% and an inter-assay CV of 10.0%. Recovery in serum averaged 93% (range 87-99%) and in plasma averaged 95% (range 89-101%). Linearity was assessed across serial dilutions: serum (N=5) showed 85-97% at 1:2, 112-121% at 1:4, 90-100% at 1:8, and 103-113% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) showed 104-114% at 1:2, 115-124% at 1:4, 99-108% at 1:8, and 107-119% at 1:16; heparin plasma (N=5) showed 112-121% at 1:2, 107-116% at 1:4, 87-98% at 1:8, and 92-102% at 1:16.

S1PR1 is a G-protein coupled receptor for the bioactive lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P), coupled to the G(i) subclass of heteromeric G proteins. Signaling leads to activation of RAC1, SRC, PTK2/FAK1 and MAP kinases. The receptor plays important roles in cell migration, chemotaxis toward S1P, embryonic heart development, cardiac morphogenesis, sprouting angiogenesis, vascular maturation, and egress of mature T-cells from the thymus into peripheral lymphoid organs. Synonyms include CD363, EDG1, S1P1, ECGF1, CHEDG1, Lpb1, and Endothelial differentiation G-protein coupled receptor 1. The kit is for research use only.
