Mouse Sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase 1 (Sgpl1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase 1 (Sgpl1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse SGPL1 and covers a working range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, with a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL and reported precision of 4.9% intra-assay CV and 8.4% inter-assay CV.

SGPL1 is a sphingolipid-metabolising enzyme that cleaves phosphorylated sphingoid bases such as sphingosine-1-phosphate into fatty aldehydes and phosphoethanolamine, and has been linked to stress-induced ceramide production, apoptosis, hepatic lipid homeostasis, immune cell trafficking and neuronal autophagy. Dysregulation of SGPL1 has been associated with cancer, autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions. Spike-and-recovery testing gave mean recoveries of 86% (range 80–92%) in serum and 88% (range 82–94%) in plasma, and linearity was assessed across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions of spiked serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Components include a dismountable 8×12-strip microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate solution, stop solution and plate sealer. Stated shelf life is 12 months with a stability loss of less than 5% within the expiry date under appropriate storage, and the plate is read at 450 nm after the reaction is stopped.
