Mouse Sorbitol dehydrogenase (Sord) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Sorbitol dehydrogenase (Sord) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Sorbitol dehydrogenase (UniProt Q64442), also referred to by the synonyms L-iditol 2-dehydrogenase, polyol dehydrogenase, xylitol dehydrogenase, XDH, SDH and Sdh1.

Manufacturer-quoted performance includes a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.41 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 7.0% and an inter-assay CV of 9.5%. Reported recovery is 84% (range 80-90%) for serum and 86% (range 80-92%) for plasma. Sord is a polyol dehydrogenase functioning as a homotetramer located at the mitochondrion membrane and in flagellar structures; it catalyses the reversible NAD(+)-dependent oxidation of sugar alcohols and is implicated in the polyol pathway and in sperm motility.
