Mouse SOD1/Superoxide dismutase 1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Mouse SOD1/Superoxide dismutase 1 ELISA Kit is designed for the accurate quantification of SOD1 levels in mouse serum, plasma, and tissue lysates. It uses a Sandwich ELISA double-antibody format with colorimetric detection, offering a standard range of 0.781–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL. SOD1 is an important enzyme in antioxidant defense, and its dysregulation has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders, inflammation, and cancer, making the kit a useful tool for disease research and therapeutic evaluation.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity in serum ranges from 84–101% across dilutions, in EDTA plasma from 82–105%, and in heparin plasma from 84–105%. Recovery is 87–101% in serum (average 94%), 92–105% in EDTA plasma (average 98%), and 95–105% in heparin plasma (average 98%). Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months, with the lyophilized standard and microplate strips also suitable for storage at -20°C.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples, and blanks onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added and incubated for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. After TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, the reaction is stopped and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
