Mouse SMOX/Spermine oxidase ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Spermine oxidase (SMOX) in mouse samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. SMOX is an enzyme involved in polyamine catabolism that influences cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation and apoptosis, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammation and neurodegenerative disorders.

Validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, the kit offers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.313-20 ng/mL, with storage at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 87-99%, 86-97% and 86-100% for serum; 81-94%, 92-100% and 88-105% for EDTA plasma; and 89-105%, 86-99% and 90-101% for heparin plasma. Mean recovery is 90% for serum (range 92-105%), 98% for EDTA plasma (range 88-105%) and 92% for heparin plasma (range 88-104%).

The workflow begins with equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and a zero control onto the pre-coated plate and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding a biotin-labelled detection antibody and incubating for 60 minutes, binding HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm immediately after adding stop solution.
