Assay Genie's Mouse Slc6a4 ELISA Kit is a colorimetric, sandwich-format immunoassay (Double Antibody) for the quantitative determination of mouse SLC6A4 — the serotonin transporter, also known as SERT, 5-HTT, or 5-HTTLPR — in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is intended for neuroscience research, supporting investigations of serotonergic signaling, serotonin reuptake, and conditions in which SLC6A4 dysfunction has been implicated, such as depression, anxiety, and OCD.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. In validation studies, serum recovery ranged from 86–103% (average 95%) and serum linearity at 1:2 dilution was 86–105%.
