SLC25A5, also referred to as ANT 2 or adenine nucleotide translocator 2, is a mitochondrial inner-membrane carrier that catalyzes the exchange of cytoplasmic ADP with mitochondrial ATP. Its dysregulation has been implicated in metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer, making the kit a useful tool for research on mitochondrial biology, cellular energy metabolism, and disease mechanisms in mice.

Spike-and-recovery values reported by the manufacturer are: serum 90–103% (average 98%), EDTA plasma 87–100% (average 94%), and heparin plasma 90–104% (average 97%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions is: serum 86–105%, EDTA plasma 82–101%, and heparin plasma 82–98%.
