Mouse Slc18a2/Solute Carrier Family 18,Member 2 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative detection of mouse SLC18A2 (Solute Carrier Family 18, Member 2), a solute carrier protein implicated in the transport of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. Dysregulation of SLC18A2 has been linked to various neurological disorders, making it a useful biomarker for neuroscience research.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout. Sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL and the standard curve range is 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) spans 87-103% at 1:2, 85-103% at 1:4 and 85-101% at 1:8 dilution; EDTA plasma (n=5) ranges of 84-100%, 83-94% and 85-96%; heparin plasma (n=5) ranges of 80-95%, 81-99% and 85-96%. Recovery averages are 94% (serum), 92% (EDTA plasma) and 96% (heparin plasma), with respective ranges of 85-102%, 84-99% and 89-101%.

The protocol includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
