Description

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate quantification of SLC16A7 (Monocarboxylate Transporter 2) levels in mouse samples. It uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Storage is specified at 2-8°C for 12 months.

SLC16A7, also called MCT 2 or Solute carrier family 16 member 7, transports monocarboxylates such as lactate and pyruvate across cell membranes and is implicated in energy metabolism, pH regulation, metabolic disorders and cancer progression. Reported linearity values for serum are 86-105% at 1:2, 85-101% at 1:4 and 88-104% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma 86-100%, 85-99% and 94-100%; and for heparin plasma 80-92%, 85-97% and 83-100%. Recovery ranges and averages are 88-104% / 98% for serum, 85-102% / 94% for EDTA plasma, and 91-105% / 100% for heparin plasma.

The assay workflow includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Component storage conditions vary: the microplate and lyophilized standard can be stored at 2-8°C for 1 month or at -20°C for 12 months, while the biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution and wash buffer are stored at 2-8°C, with light-sensitive items kept away from direct light.
