Description

A Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse SLC16A1 (Monocarboxylate Transporter 1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, and the kit is positioned within the signal transduction research area. SLC16A1 is a key transporter protein responsible for the movement of monocarboxylates across cell membranes and plays a role in metabolism and energy production, with dysregulation linked to metabolic disorders, cancer progression and neurological diseases.

Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Validated recovery averages 92% for serum (n=5, range 88–98%), 92% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 85–105%) and 97% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 90–105%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions is 85–104%, 82–99% and 82–93% for serum; 91–103%, 84–98% and 82–94% for EDTA plasma; and 87–102%, 87–100% and 94–96% for heparin plasma. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with certain components (microplate strips and lyophilized standard) suitable for -20°C storage for 12 months.

The workflow comprises reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant and cell lysate.
