Mouse Sialin (Slc17a5) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Sialin (Slc17a5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit reacts with mouse samples and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Sialin. Synonyms associated with the target include H(+)/nitrate cotransporter, H(+)/sialic acid cotransporter, Solute carrier family 17 member 5, Vesicular H(+)/Aspartate-glutamate cotransporter, and AST.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.16 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%. Sialin is a multi-pass membrane protein localised to the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, secretory vesicles, synaptic vesicle membranes and lysosome membranes; it functions to transport glucuronic acid and free sialic acid out of the lysosome and mediates aspartate and glutamate uptake into synaptic vesicles.
