Mouse Serum paraoxonase/arylesterase 1 (Pon1) ELISA Kit

PON1 hydrolyzes the toxic metabolites of a variety of organophosphorus insecticides and is capable of hydrolyzing a broad spectrum of organophosphate substrates and lactones, as well as a number of aromatic carboxylic acid esters. The enzyme mediates an enzymatic protection of low density lipoproteins against oxidative modification. The protein functions as a homodimer that interacts with CLU, is secreted into the extracellular space, and is classified under the Serum paraoxonase/arylesterase protein family, with research applications in neurosciences.
