Mouse SERPINB2/Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie as a Sandwich ELISA using a Double Antibody format with colorimetric detection, this kit is validated for the quantitative measurement of mouse Serpinb2 (Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 2). Accepted specimen types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance figures quoted by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 0.234 ng/mL and a working range of 0.391–25 ng/mL. Dilutional linearity (n = 5 per matrix) was tested at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 ratios: serum 82–99%, 85–96% and 88–104%; EDTA plasma 80–100%, 85–101% and 89–100%; heparin plasma 86–99%, 80–97% and 85–98%. Spike-and-recovery averages were 94% for serum (range 86–101%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 87–103%) and 99% for heparin plasma (range 85–101%).

Serpinb2 (Uniprot P12388) is a serine protease inhibitor of the ov-serpin subfamily that inhibits urokinase-type plasminogen activator and is implicated in fibrinolysis, blood clotting, wound healing and inflammatory responses. Dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammation and cardiovascular disorders, placing the target within the cardiovascular research area. Unopened kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
