Mouse Serpin H1 (Serpinh1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Serpin H1 (Serpinh1) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric and the assay is reactive with mouse samples, recognising both natural and recombinant mouse Serpin H1. The target is also known by the synonyms 47 kDa heat shock protein, Collagen-binding protein, Colligin, Cbp1, Hsp47, and Serine protease inhibitor J6.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/ml, a sensitivity of 40.1pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.0%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16, with recovery in serum averaging 80% (range 80-85%) and plasma averaging 81% (range 80-87%). The kit is intended for research use only and is relevant to the Epigenetics research area.

Serpin H1 is a collagen-binding chaperone localised to the endoplasmic reticulum lumen and is implicated in collagen biosynthesis; defects in SERPINH1 are associated with osteogenesis imperfecta type 10.
