Mouse Serpin F1/PEDF ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit uses a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of Serpin F1, also known as pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF), in mouse-derived samples. The colorimetric assay is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Serpin F1/PEDF plays a role in regulating angiogenesis, cell growth and survival, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders, making the kit a useful tool for studying disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets.

The kit provides an ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer (25X), plate sealer and technical manual, and is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The assay workflow involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C, binding the biotin-labeled detection antibody, adding HRP-Streptavidin, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark, and measuring absorbance at 450 nm after adding the stop solution.

Linearity and recovery have been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices. Reported linearity spans 81–104% at dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 (n = 5), and recovery ranges from 85–104% with average values of 92–95%. The associated UniProt entry is P97298.
