Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Serpin A6, also known as Corticosteroid-binding globulin, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and is intended for use with mouse samples. Serpin A6 functions as a regulator of corticosteroid hormone availability, and its dysregulation has been associated with inflammation, metabolic disorders, and immune system dysfunction, making the kit a relevant tool in signal transduction research (UniProt: Q06770; gene synonyms: Serpina6, Cbg).

Detection is colorimetric, with a reported sensitivity of 9.375 ng/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 ng/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity in mouse serum was reported at 93–102% (1:2), 85–100% (1:4) and 83–99% (1:8); corresponding values were 88–102%, 85–101% and 80–90% for EDTA plasma, and 94–105%, 84–100% and 83–94% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery averages were 93% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma and 97% for heparin plasma. The workflow involves reagent equilibration, a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
