Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Serine protease 29 (Prss29) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and is reactive with mouse samples, supporting research applications where PRSS29 biology is under investigation.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.5%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (1:2 110-119%, 1:4 91-101%, 1:8 107-115%, 1:16 106-115%), EDTA plasma (1:2 82-91%, 1:4 84-94%, 1:8 103-112%, 1:16 95-105%) and heparin plasma (1:2 87-99%, 1:4 98-109%, 1:8 81-89%, 1:16 85-97%). Recovery is reported at 86% (range 80-92%) for serum and 88% (range 82-94%) for plasma. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Serine protease 29.

PRSS29, also known by the synonyms Implantation serine proteinase 2, Strypsin-2, Strypsin-related protein, Tryptase-like proteinase, ISP-2 and Isp2, is a secreted serine protease (UniProt Q99MS4) with a molecular weight of 45.1kD. The protein is involved in embryo hatching and implantation, and its dysregulation has been linked to inflammatory disorders and cancer, while it has also been associated with immune response and wound healing. It can form homooligomers, heterodimers and heterotetramers, with the heterotetramer described as far more stable than the homotetramer. For research use only.
