Mouse Serine Peptidase Inhibitor Kazal Type 5 (SPINK5) ELISA Kit

Quantify murine SPINK5, the precursor protein that generates LEKTI (Lympho-Epithelial Kazal-Type Inhibitor) peptides, with this ELISA kit from Assay Genie. SPINK5 is the gene mutated in Netherton syndrome, and its LEKTI-derived fragments restrain epidermal kallikreins including KLK5, KLK7, and KLK14. Measuring SPINK5 abundance therefore supports research on stratum corneum desquamation, atopic dermatitis-like inflammation, epithelial barrier integrity, and thymic selection in mouse models.

Each kit ships with reagents and a calibration standard sufficient for 96 determinations, run on a standard microplate reader with an enzymatic reporter that yields a signal proportional to bound analyte. The validated sample inputs are tissue homogenates and cell lysates prepared from murine epithelial, mucosal, or lymphoid sources.
