Description

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for the quantitative determination of mouse Serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 3 (SRSF3; also known as Sfrs3, Srp20 or X16; gene symbol Srsf3) in mouse samples. It is validated for serum and plasma, and is also compatible with tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse SRSF3.

The manufacturer specifies a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.061 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported as 6.2% and inter-assay CV as 8.7%. Linearity (N=5) is 104–113% at 1:2, 92–101% at 1:4, 106–117% at 1:8 and 81–90% at 1:16 in serum; 110–119%, 93–102%, 92–104% and 98–109% in EDTA plasma; and 98–108%, 93–102%, 106–116% and 97–107% in heparin plasma. Spike-recovery averages 84% (range 80–90%) for serum and 86% (range 80–92%) for plasma.

SRSF3 is a splicing factor that specifically promotes exon-inclusion during alternative splicing. Via interaction with the m6A reader YTHDC1, SRSF3 is recruited to RNA elements adjacent to N6-methyladenosine sites. It also acts as an export adapter in mRNA nuclear export through the NXF1-NXT1 (TAP/NXF1) pathway, enhancing NXF1-NXT1 RNA-binding activity. The protein localises to the nucleus, nuclear speckles and cytoplasm, and is recruited to nuclear speckles following interaction with YTHDC1. It belongs to the Epigenetics research area, and dysregulation of SRSF3 has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders and developmental abnormalities. Recommended storage is at -20°C. For research use only.
