Semaphorin 7A, also designated SEMA7A and the cluster of differentiation marker CD108, is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored member of the semaphorin family expressed on activated T lymphocytes, dendritic cells, osteoblasts, keratinocytes, and selected neuronal populations. The protein transduces signals through integrin receptors and plexin C1, influencing axon guidance, osteoclast differentiation, monocyte activation, and cutaneous or neural inflammatory responses, which makes its quantitative measurement relevant to research in neurobiology, bone remodeling, autoimmune disease, and tumor microenvironment biology. This Assay Genie kit is configured in a 96-assay plate format as a solid-phase enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designated for research use only, calibrated against recombinant murine SEMA7A, and intended for the in vitro quantification of endogenous SEMA7A in mouse specimens including serum samples, plasma samples, clarified tissue homogenates, and cell lysate preparations. Each kit ships with a pre-coated microwell plate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, lyophilized reference standard, concentrated washing buffer, TMB substrate solution, and stop reagent sufficient to complete the assay procedure in a standard microplate reader workflow. Reconstituted standards and prepared samples should be handled according to the lot-specific certificate of analysis accompanying the kit, and the unopened kit is stored refrigerated between runs to preserve antibody binding and conjugate activity. Researchers investigating experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis models, bone resorption phenotypes, glial scarring, melanoma invasion, or pulmonary fibrosis can apply the assay to compare SEMA7A concentrations across treatment cohorts, with absorbance values converted to ng/mL against a freshly generated standard curve on each plate.
