Mouse Secretogranin-2/Scg2 ELISA Kit

The kit uses a double antibody sandwich ELISA format and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

SCG2 is a neuroendocrine secretory granule protein involved in the regulation of secretory processes in neuroendocrine cells, where it plays a role in the storage and secretion of bioactive peptides and hormones. The kit provides a quantitative tool for studying neuroendocrine function and related disorders, including metabolic conditions. Manufacturer performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL, an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/mL, and storage at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Validated sample performance includes linearity ranging from 82–104% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with serum averaging 96–104%, 86–97%, and 85–102%; EDTA plasma 85–101%, 83–98%, and 84–100%; and heparin plasma 82–100%, 82–98%, and 82–94%. Spike recovery ranges were 87–104% (serum, average 97%), 85–102% (EDTA plasma, average 97%), and 93–103% (heparin plasma, average 99%).
