Mouse SAA/Serum Amyloid A ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, designed for the quantitative detection of Serum Amyloid A (SAA) in mouse samples. SAA is an acute-phase protein central to the inflammatory response, and elevated levels are associated with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, and cancer, making it an important biomarker in disease and therapeutic research.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL with a working range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Kit components are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Linearity has been demonstrated across five samples each in serum (88–99% at 1:2, 82–89% at 1:4, 81–99% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (86–101%, 85–99%, 83–96%), and heparin plasma (93–102%, 84–100%, 83–97%). Spiking recovery averaged 93% in serum (range 91–96%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 86–96%), and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90–96%).
