Mouse S-arrestin (Sag) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of mouse S-arrestin (Sag) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and recognises natural and recombinant mouse S-arrestin, allowing quantitative determination in mouse-derived samples.

Quantitative performance figures, as stated by the manufacturer, include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.163ng/mL. Intra-assay CV, inter-assay CV, linearity and recovery data are provided with the kit.

S-arrestin, also referred to as 48 kDa protein, Retinal S-antigen, Rod photoreceptor arrestin and S-AG, is one of the major proteins of the retinal rod outer segments. It binds to photoactivated-phosphorylated rhodopsin, thereby preventing the transducin-mediated activation of phosphodiesterase. The protein is expressed in the retina and pineal gland and has a reported molecular weight of 44,930 Da (UniProt P20443). The native protein can exist as a monomer, homodimer or homotetramer.
