Mouse RGM-C/Hemojuvelin ELISA Kit

Designed for research into iron homeostasis, this sandwich double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie enables accurate measurement of RGM-C (Hemojuvelin) levels in mouse samples. RGM-C is described as a critical protein involved in iron homeostasis and regulation, playing a key role in iron metabolism and absorption, and dysregulation of the protein has been linked to iron overload disorders and anemia, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these diseases.

The colorimetric assay is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 95–101% at 1:2, 88–102% at 1:4, and 87–97% at 1:8. Recovery averages 95% in serum (range 89–102%), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90–101%), and 91% in heparin plasma (range 85–103%).

Storage is 2–8°C for 12 months. The procedure uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) with TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.
