Mouse Renin-1 (Ren1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise quantification of renin levels in mouse samples. The colorimetric assay targets Mouse Renin-1 (Ren1), also known by the synonyms Angiotensinogenase, Kidney renin, Ren, and Ren-1, with reactivity specific to mouse. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and detects natural and recombinant mouse Renin-1.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 8.01 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Linearity in serum ranges from 90-125% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, in EDTA plasma from 84-115%, and in heparin plasma from 92-115%. Recovery in serum averages 89% (range 83-95%) and in plasma averages 91% (range 85-97%).

Renin-1 is a highly specific endopeptidase that generates angiotensin I from angiotensinogen, playing a key role in the renin-angiotensin system, regulation of blood pressure, and fluid balance. The kit is intended for cardiovascular research and is for research use only.
