Mouse REN (Renin) ELISA Kit (MOES00673)

Designed for the measurement of mouse renin (REN), also called angiotensinogenase, this Assay Genie ELISA Kit is a colorimetric sandwich-ELISA with mouse reactivity, intended for serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The specified sample volume is 100 μL and the stated assay time is 3 h 30 min. Renin is described as a key enzyme in the renin-angiotensin system, playing a role in regulating blood pressure and electrolyte balance.

Performance figures given for the kit are a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.16-10 ng/mL, with recovery of 80%-120%. In reported testing, EDTA plasma gave 83-97% recovery (90% average) and cell culture media 92-102% (97% average); intra-assay CV values were 4.2%, 4.49% and 4.6%, and inter-assay CV values were 6.33%, 8.62% and 8.28% across three samples. The kit recognizes mouse REN, and no significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse REN and analogues was observed.
