Description

Designed by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative determination of Regulatory-associated protein of mTOR (RPTOR) in mouse samples. RPTOR is a scaffolding component of the mTORC1 complex and plays a central role in regulating cell growth, survival, and autophagy in response to nutrient and growth factor signals. Dysregulation of the mTOR pathway has been linked to cancer, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders, making this an important target in preclinical research.

The assay is formatted as a solid-phase sandwich ELISA with colorimetric detection and is reactive with mouse samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Specificity covers natural and recombinant mouse Regulatory-associated protein of mTOR (also known as Raptor / p150 target of rapamycin (TOR)-scaffold protein; UniProt: Q8K4Q0). Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 40.1 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.2%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.3%.

Linearity in serum (N=5) ranged from 102–113%, 109–119%, 90–99%, and 88–98% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions respectively, with EDTA plasma at 110–118%, 109–119%, 99–109%, and 103–112%, and heparin plasma at 103–113%, 107–116%, 104–114%, and 98–108%. Mean recovery was 80% (range 80–86%) for serum and 82% (range 80–88%) for plasma. The kit is supplied for research use only and is intended to support studies in the cancer research area.
