Mouse Regenerating islet-derived protein 4 (Reg4) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse Regenerating islet-derived protein 4 (Reg4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and detects both natural and recombinant mouse Reg4, with colorimetric detection.

The manufacturer reports a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.82 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Spike-and-recovery testing showed average recovery of 84% from serum (range 80-90%) and 86% from plasma (range 80-92%), and linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Reg4 is described as a calcium-independent lectin displaying mannose-binding specificity, with potential involvement in inflammatory and metaplastic responses of the gastrointestinal epithelium; the protein is secreted.
